The room and bathroom were extremely clean. The bed was comfortable, the room was large and staff were really friendly. Yes, it is a bit dated but they have picked all the right things to upgrade and the comfy bed and cleanliness were better than many more expensive hotels.

On first impressions this hotel doesn't look like much on the outside; it's a bit weathered and the carpark needs some work in places but when you actually venture within, it's very nice. Yes, it's a little dated decor wise in the common areas, but it's very well maintained, and I believe the management have focused their resources on keeping the rooms clean and updated. Our room had clearly been renovated fairly recently and the bathroom was immaculate. We were extremely comfortable and really enjoyed our stay, it was excellent. We would happily stay again.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the breakfasts that set us up for the day so could travel to visit places in the area. The room was very comfortable and clean. Great to have the tea and coffee sachets in the bedroom replenished daily. Been to places that give enough for 1 night and replacements can be purchased from reception. Nice to see many nationalities staying not only with the ever changing coach tours but also as private travellers.

We loved the ambience of the place, which took us back to when my wife and I met in the 1970s. We loved the personal, friendly service and were wowed by being offered the breakfast menu and having breakfast individually served to us at the table, instead of the usual queuing and general melee around the self-serve hot trays one has come to expect in most chain hotels. This was such a refreshing change! We had two nights there and the rooms were comfortable and quiet, exceeding our expectations on arrival.

We were looking for a place to stay an hour extra night in Newtonmore. The essence of the reviews we read were that the hotel was cheap and cheerful, good value for money, and with a really helpful and friendly staff. We concur, from our recent experience!

The level of service and friendliness of the staff. We have become so used to impersonal, self-service hotel breakfasts, but this hotel is different! You are shown to your table and, after selecting your choice of cereal, you select breakfast from a menu and your order is personally taken and your choice individually prepared and brought to the table.

Staff were very friendly and the room was of a good size and comfortable. Plenty free parking close to the room. Breakfasts were decent enough with a good range of cereals etc. Cooked breakfasts were made to order, which was great, although the plates were on the small side.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The price was really reasonable. The location is perfect, just a short ride to all the main tourist attractions. Our room was spacious and comfortable, providing a nice retreat after a day of exploring. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a budget-friendly and conveniently located place to stay!

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel and facilities for the price. We arrived a little early but we're able to check in as the rooms were ready. The rooms were clean, fresh and well appointed. The bar was opened up for us , it was pleasant, comfortable and well stocked. Breakfast in the morning was more than sufficient catering for continental as well as local tastes. All in all, excellent value for money and we worth a repeat visit
